Completion of purchases and delivery of services

When you purchase a product or service from Musingo, we process the information necessary to complete the purchase, deliver the product and send order confirmations.

The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b), as the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you.

Customer service and enquiries

If you contact us with questions, feedback or complaints, we process the information you provide in order to respond to your enquiry.

The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(f), as we have a legitimate interest in providing customer service and responding to enquiries.

Payment

Payments are handled by our payment provider Stripe. Stripe processes the information necessary to complete the payment, including payment information, billing information, IP address and purchase amount.

Musingo does not receive your full card details.

The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b), as the processing is necessary to complete your purchase. In some cases, information may also be processed to comply with legal obligations, cf. GDPR Article 6(1)(c).

Accounting and bookkeeping

We store information that is necessary for accounting and bookkeeping in accordance with applicable law.

The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(c), as the processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

Cookies and technical functions

We may use necessary cookies to make the website work, for example to remember the contents of a shopping cart or secure website functions.

If we use statistics, preference or marketing cookies, this will only take place with your consent where required.

Recipients of personal data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We may share or make personal data available to suppliers that help us operate our website and provide our services. This may include:

  • web hosting through Simply.com
  • payment processing through Stripe
  • email and operational systems
  • review platforms, if you choose to use them

These suppliers process data either on our behalf or as independent data controllers, depending on their role and applicable law.

Where relevant, we have entered into data processing agreements with our processors.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

We aim to use suppliers that process personal data within the EU/EEA.

However, some suppliers, including Stripe, may in certain cases process personal data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, the transfer will only take place if a valid transfer mechanism is in place, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Storage and deletion

We only store your personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as we are legally required to do so.

Information related to purchases and payments is generally stored for 5 years after the end of the financial year to which the material relates, in accordance with bookkeeping requirements.

Customer service enquiries are deleted when they are no longer necessary, unless there is a legitimate reason for longer storage.

If you have consented to marketing, we store your information until you withdraw your consent.
